Dinner is served

During the height of the pandemic when restaurants and bars were forced to close, I created a digital illustration that captures a poignant moment in the anticipation of reopening. In this artwork, a pigeon is presented on a serving plate, held aloft, with multiple hands reaching eagerly towards it.

The scene reflects the collective eagerness of people to return to dining out as soon as restrictions were lifted. The choice of a pigeon as the central figure adds a touch of surprise and irony, deliberately deviating from the conventional expectation of a chicken.
